After school today I have a game against Woodbridge High school and I am so excited. WHS is the public high school that I would have gone to if I didn’t come to UC. I had gone to public school my whole life and left everyone behind to come here. I was thinking about it last night and to be completely honest I started tearing up a little; just thinking back to 8th grade and everything that happened. When I said left everyone behind I meant every single person, I came here not knowing one person. At first it was hard considering a lot of people came together and everyone was friends, it was hard fitting in but by December I knew everyone and I made friends that I know will last me forever. And as time went on I realized I went to preschool with one of the girls (she was my best friend) and another girl was my enemy back in 3rd grade (we are really good friends now and actually lab partners’ haha). It’s so funny how times change. So today when I go to WHS I am going to see at least 50 people I know and play against those girls who have been in fights with me, called me a best friend, made me laugh, bought me a gift, attended my birthday party, and went to the mall with. After the game of course we are all going to have to catch up and talk about the latest gossip (we haven’t talked in 2 years!!!!). When I came to UC I thought all my friends at WHS would be there for me and we would hang out all the time. I had about 15 true friends; I talk to 3 of them now. But really I wouldn’t go back in time and turn down UC because the people I met here I love the so much! I have only known them for a year and a half but I know that they can be considered friends, and today when I see all my old friends we will have fun and laugh about everything but I don’t think I could ever forget about all the amazing friends I made here at UC and the many more I am going to make.
