The past couple of weeks have been quite interesting. For the first time in 15 years, I was sick for five days; that has never happened to me before and it was not a fun time. Then, on Wednesday night, I broke my nose, the first bone I have ever broken. It happened at the basketball game versus Westfield and thankfully we were at our home gym. My nose collided with another girl’s shoulder and the rest is quite obvious. It was scary at first, and everyone pretty much knew it was broken. It is kind of funny when I say out loud “I broke my nose”; to me, it’s just not something you would hear regularly. Today I am going back to the doctor to see if I need surgery to fix it if the bone is out of place. Since it was my first break, I didn’t really know what to expect. I knew it would hurt, but not how much. I quickly learned that it will hurt badly, but not continuously. I just hope it isn’t out of place, because I want it to heal quickly.
